Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) was started in 1975. The intention of IBPS is to help the banks in recruiting talented staff to meet their requirements. It conducts Common Written Exams every year for Probationary Officers, Specialist Officers, Clerical Cadre and Office Assistants (Multipurpose). It issues a score card to the IBPS qualified candidates, which is taken into account by the 20 Banks in their recruitment process. IBPS also CWE for Regional Rural Banks and this score is considered by 56 RRBs that are spread across the country.
IBPS issued common written exam (CWE) for 56 regional rural banks apart from the 20 public sector banks. This is because lots of employees are retiring in the coming years and there has been no recruitment done in these banks since 1990.

There are different officer scale I, II, III and officer assistant posts for which the RRB exam shall be conducted by the IBPS.
IBPS CWE-IV for RRBS 2015 Notification
IBPS released notification for Common Written Examination-IV for Regional Rural Banks in www.ibps.in. It invited online applications against it’s CWE- IV for RRBs that is being conducted possibly in the month of September, 2015. There are total 56 RRBs which will consider IBPS CWE 2015 score card in their selection process. The validity for CWE for RRBs
of business on 31.12.2016 with or without giving any notice.
Educational Qualification Required for IBPS RRBs CWE-IV:
Candidates should have a degree in any subject and should be proficient in the local language.
Age Limit
The age limit for officer scale IV is below 40 years, officer scale II is below 32 years, for officer scale I is between 18 to 30years and for Office Assistant is 18 to 28 years. Relaxation in age is subject as per the government rules that can be checked out on the website www.ibps.in.
IBPS Selection System in RRBs CWE-IV:
Candidates need to write the CWE and based on the merit score and experience for the post they shall be called for an interview.
How to apply for IBPS RRB’S CWE-IV?
Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria can apply from 8th July to 28th July, 2015. The process of application is given below.
One can apply online for the IBPS exam on the official website www.ibps.in.
One has to upload recent passport size photo that is duly signed.
Upload relevant documents mentioned in the site
Furnish with email id and phone number to receive the registration ID and password from IBPS.
Examination fee:
The candidate applying for IBPS RRBs Common Written Exam has to pay Rs.600 as examination fee. The reserved candidates have to pay only Rs. 100.
Fee Payment has to be made online and take a copy of the receipt that should be submitted at the examination center.
For offline payment one has to take the online challan form that need to be deposited in the specified bank.
So using the services of IBPS for the common written examination, banks can easily filter thousands of candidates for their mass recruitment with a single common examination to all the candidates and hence further conduct personal interviews to prepare the merit list.
