Qualification : Masters Degree in relevant discipline such as gender, women’s development, social sciences, business management etc. preferred
Eligibility :
- Masters Degree in relevant discipline such as gender, women’s development, social sciences, business management etc. preferred
- Excellent understanding of of gender, poverty, vulnerability and exclusion trends across the four states
- Demonstrated technical expertise in design, , implemention, , management, & supervision, , of similar Gender programmes (15 years experience preferred). Experience in PSIG states is preferred.
- Demonstrated understanding of financial inclusion in general and microfinance in particular Experience in working on gender & women’s empowerment programmes supported by DFID or Other donor agencies is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and completion of tasks against tight deadlines Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and Hindi, and ability to communicate in both languages;
- Ability to produce high-quality technical documents as well as presentations and project reports.
Job details :
- Provide Strategic Oversight on programme design & delivery to ensure it meets gender equality goals
- Leadership and decision-making on gender equality – as member of the core team to ensure all key project decisions include gender equality
- Identify gender equality gaps in programme plan, design and implementation and take appropriate steps to redress these
- Support and capacitate SIDBI/PMU members on integrating/incorporating gender equality in their work areas/deliverables
- Manage development of gender mainstreaming tool kit to promote gender sensitive MFI policies, operations and implementation – contract appropriate agency/individual, oversee design & quality assure the mainstreaming initiative
- Manage the women’s empowerment and financial literacy training pilot initiatives & scale-up of the programme
- Collaborate with M&E Team Leader to ensure reporting against gender specific social indicators and development of robust evidence to capture change in women’s lives Initiate discussions on gender & financial inclusion & disseminate learning across the programme and outside
- Build strong working relationships with DFID, PSIG team, PSIG Advisory group and partner institutions
- Theexpert(s) shall be attached on a fulltimebasisasTheme Leader Gender and Financial Literacy withSIDBIPSIG Programme Management Unit (PMU)for the aforesaid DFIDProject.
