Age Limit: 18 to 37 years as on 01/01/2017 (As per Govt, of Punjab, Department of Personnel, PP-1 Branch Notification dated 24th May, 2010). Age Relaxation - 05 Years for SC / ST & OBC, 10 Years for Physically Handicapped, Ex-Serviceman - As per Govt. Rules.
Scale of Pay: ₹ 6400 – 20200 + Grade Pay ₹ 3400/-
Eligibility: Matriculation with 02 Years National Apprenticeship Certificate in Lineman Trade. The candidates who possess higher education i.e. Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering will be considered only if they have minimum qualifications i.e. National Apprenticeship Certificate in Lineman Trade.
Knowledge of Punjabi: All the candidates must have passed Punjabi of at least Matriculation or its equivalent level till the date of Document checking.
Selection Process: Selection will be made purely on merit basis. The merit will be made as per marks obtained in National Apprenticeship Certificate in Lineman trade. The percentage marks obtained shall be rounded off to the nearest 2 decimal digit for preparing the merit. No weightage shall be given for higher qualifications.
Application Fee: The candidate is required to deposit the fee plus Bank charges along with challan in any Branch of SBOP now SBI.

Educational Qualification:

Grade A - Olympics/ World Cup/ Common Wealth Games of two or more than two Continents/ Asian Championship.
Grade B - International Tournaments for seniors organized by International Federation of that discipline and where at least 10 countries have participated, other than those mentioned against Grade-A, South Asian Federation Games (SAF Games)/ National Games/Federation Games Championships/ National Championship/ All India inter State Championship.
Grade C - North Zone Championships/ State Championship/ All India inter Stale Electricity Boards Championship.

(a) At the time of recruitment on Contract Basis all eligible players shall be subject to preliminary physical fitness test and on being found fit will further be put to game trials. Minimum physical fitness requirements are to be worked out by the Selection Committee game wise.
